Cutting Tiles or Wood Planks is Often Necessary—But Don't Leave it Up to Chance

You may want to place full pieces in more visible areas or where the wall turns.

Today I’m showing you a photo of the inside of my shower. (After I took a shower!) Why am I showing you that?

In the video above and the photos below, you’ll see there’s a funny little piece where the two walls meet. No, it’s doesn’t look optimal. But it allows me to have a full tile piece on the other side where the wall turns.

This is a common design problem. Where do you put partial pieces of tile or partial pieces of wooden planks?

Don’t leave it to the installer or to chance! You may not agree with the final design. Instead, take a look at the measurements and come up with a plan that’s pleasing from a design standpoint.
