Shiny Viscose and Tencel Carpets

Yes, both fibers make your rugs glitter, but they are flimsy and hard to clean.

We Don't Recommend Viscose or Tencel Carpets

Get the same look (with none of the cleanability concerns) by choosing carpets with nylon or polysilk highlights.

Believe it or not, there are still carpet mills that are manufacturing products with viscose and tencel fiber.

The problem with viscose and tencel is that it tends to fall apart when using normal cleaning methods. That’s what you want to avoid.

Here’s the good news. Increasingly, carpet mills are coming out with nylon and polyester alternatives that give carpets the same shine and glimmer that viscose and tencel provide.

Personally, I hate viscose and tencel fiber. It’s true that some cleaners know how to deal with it, but I wouldn’t trust your client to find and identify those cleaners.

If you’re thinking about carpet bling, think about nylon and polyester. You don’t need to use viscose and tencel fibers anymore.
