Non-Skid Pads Under Latex-Backed Natural Fiber Rugs

Using an additional non-skid pad underneath the rug will protect your hardwood floors.

A lot of natural fiber rugs come with a latex backing. When that backing sits on top of a hardwood floor with a urethane finish it can eventually degrade—compromising the finish.

I always recommend putting a non-skid pad underneath any natural fiber latex-backed rug. You should recommend it too.
