I remember when I was a kid, they used to have us make these placemats. We’d used to take construction paper strips and weave them in and out. Pretty soon you’d have a multi-color creation that you could take home to your mom and dad.
Prestige carpet recently did the same thing! They have a new carpet called Dorian which is one of the most beautiful and intricate things I’ve seen in the carpet business.
Dorian contains felt strips which have been woven in and out of the weave of the carpet. It’s a hand-crafted piece from India which is a work of art.
I’m a little concerned about putting it in a high-traffic area. I’d also definitely avoid vacuuming it with a beater bar! Still, I think it would look wonderful in a client’s home.
