Today, I’m going to tell you something that you may already know. But it’s so important.
Furniture first.
How does your client want to live in the room? What are the sizes of furniture? How many pieces of furniture? How is the furniture going to be situated in the room?
Until you settle those very important questions, you’re not in a position to decide the shape and size of the rug.
Is the rug going to go in front of the furniture? Is it going to go underneath the furniture? Or, maybe, will the furniture sit in the middle of the rug? All these decisions depend upon the furniture.
Just a reminder of something that may be second nature to a lot of you: furniture first.
