It’s February right now here in New England. That means it’s COOOOLLD outside.

That makes us worry about carpet—which doesn’t like the cold.

You want to warm up carpet. Why? Because if it’s rolled up or folded up and it’s cold inside, that carpet is going to remain curled and creased.

Instead, carpet needs to relax. This is particularly true for woven carpet and tufted carpets that have a secondary backing.

I put on a heavy jacket when it’s cold outside so I can stay warm. Carpet also needs to stay warm so that it can relax. Keep that in mind when you’re planning your installations.
